Recent findings from The Duchy of Gukumatz Office called for clear rules from land barons that secure the survival of their private states.
According to the research, some land barons are suffering of customer loose because their lack of good customer service, fair and clear rules in covenants, in addition to the recent changes on land prices from Linden Lab. Their golden age apparently is ending not only because the hostile market conditions but also because their lack of efficiency and transparency.
The report specially pointed out a lack of information in covenants that land barons are using in their advantage and against their golden eggs customers. Second Life residents have complaint to these land barons but they do not listen therefore a massive migration from bad to good estates is happening. Unfortunately for them, word of mouth has been effective in helping to identify bogus land barons.
It is important for all residents who are considering in renting land from land barons to consider their ability to continue over the time by offering good customer service, clear rules, and competitive prices. In addition, residents need to evaluate the risk of these land barons going into bankruptcy as residents money could dissapear from one day to another. The reports also considers that Linden Lab should take an active role in increasing certainty to Second Life residents when dealing with land barons in risk. Additionally, the report suggest the creation of a list of good and bad land barons and followed by a continuous advertising campaign in different public media channels in Second Life.
In this sense, The Palace of Yaximixche has decided to continuously gather information about good and bad land barons and publish it in a neutral place such as http://princess-manqo.blogspot.com in order to speed up the close down of bad land barons estates that do not care about their customers.

ReplyDeleteSupport : Great there always seems to be someone online and you can visit their website to see is online at that moment. Pus, the other residents are an incredibly friendly and helpful bunch. The support group on the isles a great place to ask for help or ideas.
Teir: Can be paid at terminals located conveniently throughout their sims or by PayPal or as a PayPal subscription payment
Covenant: The covenants vary by sim. Some are residential, some are commercial/mixed development. It was one of the easiest to understand of all the covenants I reviewed. But, if I am remembering correctly, it is only in English but there are multi-lingual staff members who can help
Estate Owner: Garth FairChang has a great attitude. He actually came and met me when I bought land there and while I was setting up my space he came to help me out then too. I was building a church and couldn't get the church bell to work properly. Garth wrote a script for me that exactly fit my needs and didn't charge me a thing for it! He acts more like a friend than a landlord.
Number of Sims: Unknown
Other: Some of the other things I like about it is that Garth keeps a large amount of each sim as undeveloped land. That means that when you buy and are told that your land is double prim it truly is double prim because only half of the land on the sim is being used. The streets in the sims have names which gives it a nice personal feel, and there are event coordinators that organize and staff some very nice concerts, parties, and even trade shows for residents.

I just wanted to say you might want to be careful. These land barns are cut throat. I made one mad once as an alt, and found myself banned from 30% of the mainland, nowhere I would want to go, but still. Be careful, and if I can assist in anyway... feel free to let me know. ReplyDeleteI strongly recommend Angelic Dreams. The owner is amazing and always willing to help in any way that he can. He and his staff are very easy to get along with and do all they can to make sure everyone is happy.

ReplyDeleteNot listed in the vote yet, but I've had good experiences with Ohana Land Rentals, run by Babe Daligdig and Eyeing Daligdig. I rented a number of different spots with them over time, and have had only good experiences. I have my own sims now, but if I didn't, they would most likely be where I was renting still.
ReplyDeleteI strongly recommend CoveIslands. I've been there for quite awhile now, and I've been very happy. They're one of the few that I've found that offer snow sims, as well as tropical. Support has been good, the neighbors (at least those I've had experience with) have been great.

In SL I only had experience of Pink's Prop estate and I found them very professional and serious . They have built a nice community as well and promote events and live music . I only left them when I bought my own sim but I still am in contact with them . If you look for a land take a look to them !!!

I rent from d'Alliez Estates and am very happy with the support system. I have been renting form her for a long time and think that her team of helpers are so friendly that they usually end up on my friends list eventually.
ReplyDeleteAngelic Dreams is just that a dream to live in! I have lived there for over 2 years now in the same place and Master Quatro is ALWAYS responsive, most accomodating and about the most professional and plesant person I have ever dealt with in land deals. I have been working with him quite a long time and referred many people to him and all have nothing but glowing things to say about him and his staff, myself included. His prices are reasonable for the quality of land and service you receive and I love the no hassle option of being able to have my monthly tier auto debited through PayPal although you have the option of a rental box as well. I HIGHLY recommend him and his company as the BEST land baron in SL!!
