The Duchy of Gukumatz presented the Estates and Landlords report - Custom Opinion Index version 1 March 2009 to the
Parliament of Virtual Worlds on Monday 16th of March. This recent report is available free of charge from the
Hansard (files archive) within Parliament online premises and contains 12 pages of relevant information for the virtual land market in Second Life.
Graphics and data collected show the level of satisfaction of a sample of the Second Life population who evaluated 19 landlords and estates. Despite the list of landlords doesn't contain all the estates in Second Life, it provides a glimpse of the current perception that residents have of them.
This version of the Customer Opinion Index provides a general reference, although non-conclusive, of the current situation in land rental and sales services. Participants in this voting exercise expressed their opinion by recommending or not land services of the list of landlords under scrutiny. The report also points out feelings of strong recommendation or strong not recommendation from Second Life residents.

With all due respect, Princess, how many votes are actually represented in these percentages? Furthermore, why were the estates in question not communicated with about this survey?
ReplyDeletePlease look at the information available within the report. You will find the methodology followed in selecting this first lot of landlords and the number of votes. You will also will read the sample of population invited to cast their vote.
ReplyDeleteI can state for a fact that neither I nor my residents were invited to participate in this unscientific and statistically meaningless propaganda poll. Thus the results are completely biased by selection effects. You want some accuracy, you need to communicate better.
